The latest Ford Escape has a seating capacity of five passengers, and the seat material is made of premium cloth. However, premium trims feature ActiveX seat upholstery. Technology

The 2024 Ford Escape has a 1.5-liter, three-cylinder turbocharged engine under its hood. This powertrain issues 181 horsepower and 199 pound-feet of torque. The standard powertrain is a front-wheel drive system, while the all-wheel drive is optional. Power from the engine is sent to the drivetrain system through an eight-speed automatic transmission.
A 2.5-liter four-cylinder with two electric motors develops 210 horsepower as the alternative powertrain. It is paired with a continuously variable transmission gearbox. The hybrid variety is fuel efficient, giving a combined highway and city fuel economy of 37 miles on a full battery. Meanwhile, the gasoline-powered engine has an estimated city and highway fuel economy of 27 to 33 mpg.
Safety Features
Airbags located at various sites in the Escape are standard across the Ford Escape lineup. Driver assistance technologies like blind spot monitoring assist drivers in making lane changes by providing additional vision in hard-to-see areas.
Meanwhile, the automated emergency braking system takes over when pedestrians, cyclists, objects, and vehicles are detected to be on an imminent path to colliding with the Ford Escape. Lane departure alerts are deployed in the new Ford Escape to ensure you drive at the center of your lane.
Trim Levels
